"Nobody can tell ya
There's only one song worth singing
They may try and
sell ya
'Cause it
hangs them up to see someone like you
But you've gotta make your own kind of music
Sing your own special song
Make your own kind of music
Even if nobody else sings along."
- Mama Cass
"99 Luftballons
Auf ihrem Weg zum Horizont
Hielt man fuer UFOs aus dem All
Darum schickte ein General
'ne Fliegerstaffel hinterher
Alarm zu geben, wenn's so wär
Dabei war'n da am
Horizont
Nur 99 Luftballons"

"You want more
money, of course I don't mind!
To buy nuclear textbooks for atomic crimes!
And the public gets what the public wants!
But I want nothin' what this society's got!
I’m going underground, going underground
Well the brass bands play and
feet start to pound!
Going underground, going underground
Well let the boys all sing and
the boys all shout for tomorrow!"

"Better stop dreaming of the quiet life -
cos it's the one we'll never know.
And quit running for that runaway bus -
cos those rosey days are
few.
And - stop apologising for the things you've never done,
Cos time is
short and
life is
cruel -
but it's up to us to change
This town called malice!"

Hi. I'm Phil. My birthday is February 24th. I've used Wikipedia for about two years. I found this site when my dad was searching on Google for events that happened in 1933; my grandfather was turning 70.
I visit this site nearly everyday and do at least a few edits while I visit (sometimes I don't log in; I therefore don't edit on these occasions). On the Wikipediholic test on 05/09/05, my result was a healthy 117.
I love Wikipedia more than I love taffy...and I'm a guy who loves his taffy. (at this point, I have begun to chew taffy in a very creepy manner)
I mostly fixed typos, add Simpsons episode plots, Star Wars nitpicks, and often trivia to movies. Below is a timeline of my progress on Wikipedia:
- August 2003 - Discovered Wikipedia while searching for a list of events in 1933 with Google. Later used the site (searching for it through Google) for events in 1953.
- 18:08 EST, 8 August 2004 - First recorded edit as B-101.
- 18:56 EST, 30 August 2005 - First edit as JustPhil
- 09/03/05 - Created the article for Little Girl in the Big Ten, which makes the Simpsons episode list complete (until season 17 starts up).
- 09/12/05 - FINALLY figured out how to upload images.
- 3/23/06 - Received my very first Barnstar.

[edit] About me
"You're beautiful. You're beautiful.
You're beautiful, it's true.
I saw your face in a crowded place,
And I don't know what to do,
'Cause I'll never be with you."
- James Blunt
- I was born in Texas and I live in New York.
- I'm a world traveler. I've been to England, Germany, Denmark, and Canada. Basically, the only form of transportation I have never been on (yet) is an ocean liner.
- I love The Simpsons, Lost, Family Guy, American Dad!, is Earl">My Name is Earl, The Office, Saturday Night Live, and the old episodes of The Twilight Zone.
- I go bowling on weekends.
- My favorite books are Animal Farm, Starship Troopers, The Messiah Of Morris Avenue, and and the Chocolate Factory">Charlie and the Chocolate Factory.
- My favorite songs include "Make Your Own Kind of Music" by Mama Cass, "99 Luftballons" by Nena, "Going Underground" by The Jam (and pretty much anything by The Jam for that matter), "You're Beautiful" by James Blunt, and "1812 Overture" by Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky.
- I'm an avid movie goer. My favorite films include Star Wars, and the Chocolate Factory (film)">Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, War of the Worlds, and Love the Bomb">Dr. Strangelove, V for Vendetta, Life of Brian, Finding Nemo, Cars, The Producers, and Rat Race.

- I love to play Rise of Nations and The Sims 2.
- I find Sudoku to be one of the most relaxing puzzles ever created.
- I am a hard core Democrat.
- My dad is American (of Russian descent) and my mom is German.
- I met Hillary Clinton.
- I love Wallace & Gromit as well as and Hobbes">Calvin and Hobbes.
- My favorite Broadway musical is A Chorus Line.
Some of my contributions include "Xindi Council", "List of fictional governments", and "Battle of the Cowshed/Windmill".
I would prefer that my comments on talk pages are responded within 24 hours or so.
Is there anything you would like to ask or tell me?
[edit] Origin of the name
At first, I only went to Wikipedia and Memory-Alpha as an anonymous user. One day on Memory-Alpha, they asked me to have a user name. I was still relatively new to this and I didn't know I had to sign on. I liked the number "101", but I didn't want to be "T-101", the Terminator. My favorite Star Trek villains were the Borg, so I decided to be B(org)-101, putting it on talk pages without signing on. In August 2004, I was asked to become a user and therefore, I became B-101.
As of 6:56 PM EST 8/30/2005, I go by JustPhil. A friend of mine came up with that as my nickname and I recently thought it would be a better username.
[edit] Oh, the places I've been to
"When you're alone and
life is
making you lonely
You can always go - downtown
When you've got worries, all the noise and
the hurry
Seems to help, I know - downtown
Just listen to the music of the traffic in the city
Linger on the sidewalk where the neon signs are
pretty
How can you lose?
The lights are
much brighter there
You can forget all your troubles, forget all your cares
So go downtown, things'll be great when you're
Downtown - no finer place, for sure
Downtown - everything's waiting for you."
- Petula Clark

[edit] Quotes
- No one would have believed in the early years of the 21st century...that our world was being watched by intelligences greater than our own. That as men busied themselves with their various concerns...they observed and studied, the way a man with a microscope might scrutinize the creatures that swarm and multiply in a drop of water. With infinite complacency, man went to and fro about the globe, confident of our empire over this world. Yet...across the gulf of space...intellects vast and cool and unsympathetic...regarded our planet with envious eyes...and slowly...and surely...drew their plans...against us...

- Here are the facts. We left troops in North Korea after World War II, part of the Treaty of Versailles, signed in 1904 by President Kennedy. Tell me where I'm wrong.
- Where do I start? Well, we left troops in South Korea after the Korean War. The Treaty of Versailles is what ended World War I in 1919 and Kennedy was only president from 1960 to 1963. So, uh, pretty much, everything you just said was wrong.
