Talk:Isobar (film)

[edit] Project's origins
According to Isobar's trivia section at IMDb, "Originally the film was to be directed by Ridley Scott in 1989. Then brought Roland Emmerich from Germany to the United States back in 1990 and at the time it was going to be a $90 million movie." I haven't found any information regarding Ridley Scott being involved with the project. Isobar seems to have originated with Emmerich, based on this IGN article: "Sixteen years ago, filmmaker Roland Emmerich left his native Germany for Hollywood to make an ambitious science fiction film called Isobar... Devlin has been re-writing the original script Emmerich had in hand those 16 years ago." Does anyone know if there was a relation between Ridley Scott and Isobar before Emmerich came to Hollywood? --Erik 17:41, 1 October 2006 (UTC)
