Welcome to Wikipedia, Iron Ghost! I'm Celestianpower. I noticed that you were new and/or have yet to receive any messages so I just thought I'd pop in to say "hello". Hello. [edit] Comics Collaboration of the Fortnight
As a member of WikiProject Comics, I thought you might be interested in the Comics Collaboration of the Fortnight we have set up. Please feel free to vote on the articles listed, although bear in mind that a vote for a particular article means you are pledging to help improve the article. The goal of the collaboration is to improve articles to Featured Article status, as we feel Comics is under-represented in that area. Thanks for your help. I note you have added Y: The Last Man and Ex Machina (comic book) to the list of limited series of more than 12 issues in length. These lists are onlyt for series which were of finite length and were announced as such with a finishing issue also announced prior to or as the first issue was published. Do you believe these two titles meet such a criteria, and can you source such announcements? Steve block talk 20:29, 22 January 2006 (UTC)
- Ah, I don't seem to have communicated myself very well. What the consensus on what the lists are for is books which were announced as limited series at or before publication of the first issue. The sources you have provided are interviews which are after the publication. It's doubtful the criterion will be changed, since otherwise works such as Sandman become eligible, and Sandman the series, as opposed to Neil Gaiman's story arc, was not intended to be a limited series, and Gaiman had to manouvre hard to be allowed to finish the work. Y: The Last Man and Ex Machina (comic book) are certainly publications serialising finite stories, and it is possible there is a case for a list of creator owned stories. - Also note, in the interview you pointed me to here, he talks of Y as having "...always planned for it to be an ongoing", which doesn't actually imply it is a limited series, I hope you will agree. Steve block talk 21:58, 22 January 2006 (UTC)
- Note that I have not taken the quote out of context, read this excerpt here: There’s a lot setups and payoffs that that will be coming and subplots that will be addressed. We do have a really set road map, the book’s gonna end somewhere around issue 60, we plan for it to be about five years. There is no pre-determined end issue, which is the criterion established for a limited series. He has already noted it was intended as an ongoing series as opposed to a miniseries, I'm not sure I have quoted out of context since he was asked directly whether it was propoised as a miniseries. Perhaps you could explain how I have quoted out of context. I hope you can accept and agree that there was no pre-determined and pre-announced final issue number. Otherwise I see no way of resolving the issue. I apologise, I hope you can at least understand my reasoning as much as I understand yours. I am not disputing that the books have a finite end, I am merely disputing that they do not meet the criteria for the lists upon which you wish to place them. If you believe these lists should be more inclusive, it would help if you could word a criterion which wouldn't be so ambiguous as to be unmaintainable. Perhaps you could explain why you feel it is so neccesary to list the books on these specific lists? Steve block talk 23:11, 22 January 2006 (UTC)
- It's also worth noting Y and Ex Machina were nominated for best continuing series as opposed to best limited series at last years Eisners, [1]. Can you cite a source which lists it as a limited series? Steve block talk 23:19, 22 January 2006 (UTC)

"Mitume ga Tooru" in Japanese is "三つ目がとおる". I run google search of this term in English and found this page. http://users.skynet.be/mangaguide/au1925.html. English title appear to be "Here comes three eyes". Hope this helped. FWBOarticle
