Iota Nu Delta Fraternity Inc., (ΙΝΔ) was founded on February 7th, 1994, by a group of eight dedicated men of South Asian descent, on the campus of Binghamton University, in Binghamton, New York. By forming the first South Asian Brotherhood, their vision was to bridge the gaps between people of different backgrounds, ethnicities, and cultures by having them interact with their respective communities, and encourage cultural awareness through affiliation with a fraternal organization. Their efforts to date, has paved the way for an upcoming of one of the largest organizations of its kind.

The Iota Nu Delta Brotherhood is an organization comprised of men of many backgrounds, ethnicities, and cultures. They are men of integrity and honor who strive to develop the individual in his intellect, his involvement in the community, in his faith, and - Mind, Body, and Soul.

Iota Nu Delta exists because each man should have the opportunity to develop the essential skills to make him a contributing element of this ever changing and diverse society. Iota Nu Delta has paved a path in which many young men of various ethnicities and racial backgrounds pursue not only personal ambitions but provide a challenge to become the leaders of today's world. It is a path not easily followed, but one that through determination, diligence, and sheer will, a few have come to a place of unwavering brotherhood. These guarded three letters that symbolize strength of mind ,body, and soul and become a unifying brand that each member holds close to him.

As each brother pioneers in his respective life, he walks empowered with the assurance that he is only a hands distance away to reaffirm and to strengthen the historic and strong ties of friendship and mutual purpose which exist between he and his brothers.

Iota Nu Delta endeavors to create leaders among the diverse communities we live in; and we seek dedicated men of high caliber, and strength to carry forth our flame and become part of our family.

To date, no other organization of its kind can boast such an established network of professionals, or a structured central governing body.

[edit] National History

"There is a path out there that few even consider, let alone have the courage to take. It is a path that will lead you to the limits of your own potential. It is a path where you shall endure the most grueling mental and physical evaluation of your life. In the end you undoubtedly wonder if the fire you feel burning inside will be enough to become one of us. Maybe this feeling is that of pride, or nothing more than ambition or an eagerness to accomplish greater things in life..."

[edit] Creed

We, the brothers of the Iota Nu Delta Brotherhood, have established this organization for the purposes of promoting and advancing the cultural diversity found on college campuses. The Iota Nu Delta Fraternity is South Asian based, but is not, nor ever will be exclusive to men of South Asian origin. Our Brotherhood seeks to encompass all individuals and will not discriminate on the basis of race, religion, creed, ethnicity, orientation, or any physical handicaps. Discrimination of any type would go against the very core of our purpose and would promote elements of intolerance and destroy the unity that we seek to create. We seek to enhance and develop the leadership qualities of our brothers to prepare them for the world of tomorrow. With this goal in mind we prioritize the rigors of religion, family, and academia in addition to our brotherhood. We shall not condone nor will ever tolerate any method that would be contrary to the principles of our fraternity and our purpose of creating unity. We will not accept or tolerate any forms of hazing or intolerant modes of behavior. No potential member will be subjected to any activity that is degrading or hazardous. We seek to create a strong bond among the brothers of this Fraternity.

[edit] Philanthropy

Since its inception, Iota Nu Delta has been dedicated towards worthwhile and charitable causes. We believe that all the education and attained skills that we possess are of no true value if they cannot be utilized for the benefit of society.
