[edit] How do they take the form of any weapon?

This has bugged me since Teal'c first said it. Is it a shapeshifting device or what?

A more reasonable idea is that they only fit into the ammo packs as that would make sense but anyone have any thoughts on this matter?

Nope, since Staff weapons don't use any form of ammo pack, and even the different Earth weapons use drastically different types of ammo, so it's a bit of a stretch to assume that it could fit into weaponry from different planets. My assumption is that they're just some kind of small device that they put inside an outer casing which resembles the weapon in question. However, that's just an assumption. Could be but we may never know. Also, should it not be spelled Ihn'tar? I did a google search and it found a few hits for Ihn'tar, Intar found no SG hits on page 1.

Were any of those websties official? We'd need some kind of newtork or character sanction to take their word. JBK405 14:09, 19 October 2006 (UTC)

Gateworld.net lists it as Intar. Google doesn't have a single Stargate reference to Intar until page 5 searching for Intar but a search for Ihn'tar finds multiple SG results on the first page so I'd say it's Ihn'tar.

Again, are any of them official? JBK405 22:34, 19 October 2006 (UTC)

I really don't know but I don't think so but it seems a more likely spelling of the word to me.

Faris b 00:29, 20 October 2006 (UTC)

Well, where'd we get this spelling from? I think we need some kind of official source, even if it's just affirming this spelling. JBK405 03:38, 20 October 2006 (UTC)
