From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Hi, yeah, I'm not new, this is just a new username, so don't bother to post one of those retarded welcome messages or attempt to start a condescending session of Mentor-the-Newbie here. I've prolly been here longer than you have, and you know what, it doesn't matter. So chill, put your feet up and have a nice frosty one on me. Yo.

Thanks for Army ant, jimfbleak 06:49, 31 July 2005 (UTC)

[edit] Sources for Feline lower urinary tract disease

Hello, good work on Feline lower urinary tract disease, and thanks for the contribution. However, you forgot to add any references to the article. Keeping Wikipedia accurate and verifiable is very important, and there is currently a push to encourage editors to cite the sources they used when adding content. What websites, books, or other places did you learn the information that you added to Feline lower urinary tract disease? Would it be possible for you to mention them in the article? Thank you very much. - SimonP 05:46, 4 December 2005 (UTC)

anybody up for mentoring-the newbie?

[edit] Calif plants

Hi IceCream - nice starts on some California plants! I guess you know there's a bit of a drive on to ask people to cite sources so details can be checked. A couple of very reputable sources I've found useful for California plants are the Jepson Flora Project and (not yet complete, but very detailed for plants they have done) the Flora of North America, I've added details from them to some of the pages you've started, you might find them useful for other pages. Hope this helps! - MPF 12:04, 15 December 2005 (UTC)

[edit] Hi

You have a very fine screen name. Just thought I'd tell you that. :) --Mr. Billion 02:30, 8 May 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Josephine Anstey

Hi IceCreamAntisocial. I removed the speedy delete because the article does assert notability, and it is not obvious that this person is not notable, so you should try using {{afd}} and explain your motivation in more detail. Thanks, Blnguyen | Have your say!!! 06:02, 29 May 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Wilfrid Freeman

You kindly added a link from his page Wilfrid Freeman to RAF Officers. I would be much obliged if you would move it to F for Freeman rather than W for Wilfrid.

Being relatively unsophisticated in the finer points of wikipedia categories, would you also mind adding him onto the RAF Air Marshals category?

Ta --pepperrell 15:17, 21 June 2006 (UTC)

Thanks for doing that. --pepperrell 19:04, 5 July 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Thanks!

Thanks for copyediting Haryana.. Looks much better now.. Could you have a look here? --Longhairandabeard 16:16, 9 August 2006 (UTC)

  • Hi! Yes, I recently reverted Yantra Mandir (Delhi) because the edits of the article starting with those by the user 203.129.194.20 were filled entirely with text cut-and-pasted from this webpage, and possibly others; Google gave me several hits. Earlier versions of the article don't seem to be copyvio, so I simply reverted. It would be nice if someone could expand the article with their own words! Cheers, IceCreamAntisocial 19:20, 9 August 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Looking for Help

You recently recommend that my John P. Ryan article be deleted. I have tried to deal with some of your issues in the discussion page. However, since you obviously know more about article creation than me I might as well ask for some help. I’ve been trying to format US Silver Corporation for a couple of days, and I can’t figure out how to add a table of contents.

  • Hi! The table of contents should automatically appear when you add sections to the article, by putting two "=" around each section heading. For example, the way you did with my talk page... putting two "=" around the words "Looking for Help" made it a new chapter in the table of contents of my talk page automatically. Donno if that made any sense - Here's the Wiki guidelines about it. Also there is Wikipedia:Help_desk where you can post questions such as this where there are people who know more than I do and explain it better. Cheers, and good luck with your articles! IceCreamAntisocial 04:14, 16 August 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Advice

Hi. I'd like your advice on the John P Ryan article. Should I remove the article until US Silver completes its listing process, or should I change his primary title as he has a much longer career as a CFO, and switch it back to CEO next month?

  • Well, what I would do is redirect John P. Ryan to US Silver, since by himself he might not be "notable" enough for his own article. Then in the US Silver article put a blurb about him, since he's the CEO and all. That's just what I would do, though, you don't have to follow my lead by any means. Cheers :) IceCreamAntisocial 03:07, 17 August 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Tim Atchley article

You tagged the Tim Atchley article for speedy deletion, which was a perfectly reasonable thing to do. I just wanted to let you know that, since this was the user's first article, I left a {{vanity|Tim Atchley}} message on the user's talk page at User talk:TimAtchley, together with a {{welcome2}} message. This is often the best way to deal with a newbie's autobiographical first page. I also added a {{userfy}} message on the article page. With luck, this will convert the new user into a productive and happy editor writing encyclopedic articles. TruthbringerToronto (Talk | contribs) 19:49, 23 August 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Search Toppers

PLEASE READ: for those of you who are doubters, please notice no back link to the website www.searchtoppers.com which would be the case if one was self promotion, and further more if you have a phone with a web brouser go to searchtoppers.tv and view a demo of the search toppers mobile streaming technology in action. the mobile streaming transfer rate is greater than 24 frames per second (HD). It works on all carriers except verizon who has not lowered their "wall garden". search and lear about carrier wall gardens then you can look up H.264 technology without disclosing patent pending information you can easily see searctoppers is who they claim to be. Thank you in advance for the time it will take you to confirm.

[edit] Bad news and good news regarding Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Veronica Castellana

First the bad news: I speedied Veronica Castellana as CSD A7, which was the correct thing to do; but I also speedied RN MARKET and LNC STAT, which was the wrong thing to do considering neither of them were biographies. For this I have to say I made a mistake.

Now the good news: As a result of my silly improper speedies, I've had more time to review the creator's contribs and have bundled all his other advertising creations in a even bigger, better, badder AfD. See Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Legal Nurse Investigator. Awyong Jeffrey Mordecai Salleh 09:59, 27 August 2006 (UTC)

Hey,I'm NOT LYING. Aha IS TRUE. Go search "aha variable algebra" into your search engine and you'll discover it's true. PLEASE help me. ~~User:Hempfel

[edit] Cypress Consulting

This article, Cypress Consulting was prodded by you, the prod tag was removed by an IP address without comment. Just mentioning it in case you want to take this to AfD. --Xyzzyplugh 03:33, 4 September 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/RND Automation & Engineering

Some references have been added to the article RND Automation & Engineering in an effort to demonstrate notability. The article now seems to have a neutral point of view, even though it was originally created by thw company's president. You may want to revisit Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/RND Automation & Engineering. --TruthbringerToronto (Talk | contribs) 16:20, 6 September 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Arapaima

In the article arowana, you wrote that arapaima breathe only air. Are you sure that it correct? They have fully functional gills. --Ginkgo100 talk · e@ 20:02, 12 September 2006 (UTC)

  • Hi, you're right, I didn't word that well at all. I have gone back and used the author's exact words & cited him. Thanks for checking up on that! - IceCreamAntisocial 23:00, 12 September 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Joseph "Corky" Coker

Hello. The article Joseph "Corky" Coker was originally flagged for lack of notability. I have since revised the article. Would you please review again. Also, any suggestions for improvment would be greatly appreciated. All the Best. CokerTire 14:19, 13 September 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Deprod comment on Centre for Excellence in Computational Engineering

I've deprodded it mainly because I felt it deserved debate at AFD rather than prod. (The parent university is new and quite interesting with ISRO and US connections, although I found nothing special about this centre.) For precedent, there's an AFD debate on a university department that's still open[1], but I'd support a merger here too. --Mereda 15:16, 6 December 2006 (UTC)
