I Brought You My Bullets, You Brought Me Your Love is the debut album by New Jersey rock quintet My Chemical Romance, released on July 23rd, 2002. The songs on the album tell the story of the "Demolition Lovers", two criminals who commit many crimes together, not-unlike a modern-day Bonnie and Clyde, who are ultimately gunned down in a desert. The storyline continues in My Chemical Romance's second album Three Cheers for Sweet Revenge. My Chemical Romance was formed by Gerard Way and Matt Pelissier, who was Gerard's friend at the time and also helped him write Skylines and Turnstiles. This album is the most personal of their albums. It talks about Gerard's drug abuse and alchoholism and his girlfriend cheating on him with his friends. Gerard decided to form this band after he witnessed the attacks on 9/11 while working in New York as a comic book artist. He wanted to do something with his life because he saw how easily your life can be taken away.
Bullets earned the band a large underground following, but they were not able to emerge into the mainstream until their second album, Three Cheers for Sweet Revenge, was released two years later.

[edit] Trivia
- The copyright message on the CD jokingly reads, "Unauthorized duplication is a violation of applicable laws and will result in Gerard coming to your house and sucking your blood."
- The re-released version of the album also contains the music videos for "Honey, This Mirror Isn't Big Enough for the Two of Us" and "Vampires Will Never Hurt You".
- Frank Iero only played guitar on two of the tracks. One of these was "Early Sunsets Over Monroeville" (as referenced in their 2005 CD/DVD Life on the Murder Scene) and the other has not been released in an official statement so it is therefore unknown what it is. There is some speculation amongst fans that it is "Demolition Lovers", due to the apparent guitar behind lead guitarist Ray Toro's solo.
