Dhanraj Pillay

Dhanraj Pillay (born July 16, 1968) is a former field hockey player and captain of the Indian hockey team. He was born in Pune.
Presently, Pillay also plays for a club team named Maratha Warriors in the Premier Hockey League.
He is the recipient of India's highest sporting honour, the Rajiv Gandhi Khel Ratna award for the year 1999-2000. He was awarded the Padma Shri, a civilian award in 2000. He is the only Indian to play in four Summer Olympics, four World Hockey Cups, four Champions Trophies, four Asian Games, and four Asia Cups.
Pillay is currently working as Assistant Manager in Indian Airlines.
