Deutschnofen

Deutschnofen (German) or Nova Ponente (Italian, but it had always been Nova Tedesca before Ettore Tolomei tampered with the toponym) is a municipality in Trentino-South Tyrol, Italy.
Deutschnofen comprises also the boroughs of Rauth-Novale and Obereggen. There is a church and several cafes and hotels. Almost all people in Deutschnofen speak German; some of them speak Ladin or Italian.
5 km from the village there is the A22. Deutschnofen shares 7 km of the frontier with Trento.
[edit] Obereggen
The main street in Obereggen is the Obereggen. This is one of the very few paved road of the centre of Obereggen. There are approximately 900 German-speaking inhabitants. It is on the foot of the Latemar. Another nearby mountain is the Schmieder (in the hamlet of Zapf). There are at least three hotels in this borough, and a network of mountain bike and footpaths on the side of the Latemar. There also are two cable-railways and a ski lift.
[edit] San Floriano
San Floriano is between the hamlet of Zapf and the centre of Obereggen. There are no hotels or shops. You can also find farms in San Floriano. There is a chapel (for the saint of San Florian, this is the only chapel in Obereggen), and one paved road, as well as a number of unpaved paths.
