Demir Demirkan

Demir Demirkan is a Turkish rock musician and songwriter.

Demir Demirkan was born on 12 August 1972 in Adana. He spent his childhood at Adana, and later moved to Ankara to pursue his higher studies at Bilkent University.

He joined the very successful heavy metal band Pentagram in 1992 as a guitarist. During the period between 1997 and 1999, Demirkan worked with a number of music artists including Sertab Erener, Sebnem Ferah and Ricky Martin. He co-wrote the smash hit Everyway That I Can, with which Erener won the 2003 Eurovision Song Contest, and also wrote a number of tracks on her debut English language album, No Boundaries.

His first solo album was released in 2000. The second Dünya Benim was available in 2002. Since then, Demirkan. has released two other albums: 2004 İstanbul (2004) and Gelibolu (2005)

He has three older brothers and one older sister. The oldest of the four brothers is Nuhan followed by Gurhan and Serhan the only sister's name is Nilhan. Their Father and Mother, Rauf and Nagia, still live happily in Turkey.
