David W. Mack is an American comic book artist and writer. Mack is best known for his creator-owned series Kabuki. He has also worked on such Marvel Comics as Daredevil and Alias. He is known for his unique painted and collage-like work. Rather than employ computers in composing multi-layered artwork, Mack prefers to apply objects directly onto his art.
A friend of fellow comic book creator Brian Michael Bendis, Mack helped to land Bendis a position at Marvel Comics before either had found mainstream fame. Mack constitutes the "M" in Bendis's "MOB Publications."
He graduated from Northern Kentucky University in 1995 with a BFA in graphic design. Mack is currently dating the actress and model Mandy Amano.
