[edit] SHB image
The image cannot be changed? I'm replacing a only-head image for another one also showing body and limbs. It's Darkseid, not Modok. Lesfer ☎ 20:52, 6 January 2006 (UTC)
Then find a better-quality image. The current one is perfectly fine; a good focus on his head and is better than the other one. Besides, there are other images that show his full body. --CyberGhostface 23:13, 6 January 2006 (UTC)- Sorry; apparently my brother's account was still logged in when I made my post. Anyway, my point still stands. The other image is of a higher quality and just appears drawn better, and it shows more detail when closed up on the face (and, the gif doesnt does have any sources). --DrBat 02:02, 7 January 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Discussion of Darkseid's strength in JLU finale (Removal notice)
I've decided to remove the last paragraph from the Other appearances section because its more of a plot summary than anything else, and it doesn't add any information about Darkseid that isn't already on this page. LazerBeem 05:31, 23 February 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Thanos?
Darseid strength is compared to Thanos in this. While possibly similar characters, as residents of different universes is this confirmed or even relevant? Wouldn't it make more sense to compare him to some other DCU character? (Changed to be a comparison to Superman.)
- It seems some contributors continually wish to compare Darkseid' strength to Thanos', even though no direct comparisons can be drawn because they are from two different universes. I think those people constantly try to compare Darkseid to Thanos because Thanos occupies a special place in the Marvel Universe — a place a notch above even the most powerful of the MU conventional heroes — a place that Darkseid *should* occupy in the DCU but currently does not. Thanos was initially meant to be Marvel's version of Darkseid but he has evolved into something that is actually quite a bit different than Darkseid in power, nature, and personality. [edit] Darkseid's powers
Can anyone give me issues where Darkseid performs feats like teleportation and moving planets? Are these actual personal powers, or does he use Apokoliptian technology (why does he bother with Boom Tubes if he can self-teleport?)?
I cannot give you issue numbers or what not, but I can tell you he moved the entire solar system(minus the sun) which housed the Daxamites to an area with a yellow sun. He did this himself.
He rarely teleports himself, simply because he enjoys the grandeur of the boom tube, but he can.
[edit] Description of powers and abilities
Why exactly was the (in my opinion) superior listing and description of Darksied's powers changed? I spent quite some time adjusting that, and I thought it seemed much neater, tidier and easier to understand. It would seem that I was incorrect. - Sh@z@M
What changes are you referring to? HoosierDaddy 22:52, 16 July 2006 (UTC)
I changed the infobox information to say 'Omnipotent and omniscient, Immortal and Invincible' and then listed his abilities more precisely below. - Sh@z@M
But the character isn't all powerful is he? Omnipotence would apply to a character that's virtually impossible to defeat by any means and that doesn't apply to Darkseid. He's often percieved as omnipotent by those he rules but saying that he's 'Omnipotent and omniscient, Immortal and Invincible' under the description of his abilities sounds very much like personal opinion rather than actual fact. Odin's Beard 02:43, 18 July 2006 (UTC)
It isn't my opinion. If he wasall powerful, why would he always lose? I simply edited it to say that because it had been mentioned elsewhere in the article. - Sh@z@M
I saw that in the article. I must've skimmed over it. I've removed the mentioning of Darkseid's omnipotence from the article. The term itself gets tossed around quite a bit in comic books. Like almost all of the comic book characters slapped with the label of omnipotence, it doesn't apply to Darkseid. He's powerful, but not that powerful Odin's Beard 00:24, 19 July 2006 (UTC)
Very well. This discussion is hereby closed. Meeting adjourned. - Sh@z@M
[edit] Changing the Picture
Not really detailed and not a really good picture of what he really looks like. He is very ugly there too.--ThanosMadTitan23 00:57, 8 September 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Uxas
This is listed as an alter ego, but it's not explained. Where did this come from? --Marhawkman 02:52, 25 September 2006 (UTC)
- I't his birth name, apparently. I know it to be true, but I have no way to cite this. --Chris Griswold (☎☓) 09:32, 25 September 2006 (UTC)

- Hmm... Apparently it's explained in detail in the Desaad article. But not here... O_o--Marhawkman 06:50, 10 October 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Biography
There's not much written details in Darkseid's history. Surely for a characer like him there must be something more to be told? DCincarnate
