"Dammit" is the first single by blink-182 from the 1997 album Dude Ranch. It was the song which gave them their first mainstream success, peaking at #11 on the Billboard Modern Rock Track Chart.

An alternative version of the song can be found on the Can't Hardly Wait soundtrack and the Greatest Hits album, which features a drumroll right after the opening chords.

A second release of this single is also available.

During some live versions the Tom Delonge is known to yell "Take your pants off" at the very beginning. Also, Mark Hoppus will improvise certain sections of the song with random lyrics from other songs.

[edit] Music video

The music video shows the band members going to see a movie, where the lead singer, Mark Hoppus, sees his ex-girlfriend with another guy. The video ends with Hoppus and the boyfriend fighting and the girlfriend walking away with a theater employee, played by Rick DeVoe (blink-182's manager).

[edit] Trivia

This song was covered by Avril Lavigne, Trivium and System of a Down

Squat-Core band Leftover Crack parody this song during many of their live shows.
