[edit] Extremely painful

Snorting is also an effective though extremely painful way to ingest the drug Is this accurate? can someone clarify that? sinblox (talk) 21:55, 30 January 2006 (UTC)

That's probably true, but if it can't be cited it probably shouldn't be here. i just read the pihkal entry on 2c-b and didn't see this metnioned in there. --Heah talk 22:02, 30 January 2006 (UTC)

It is accurate. Unlike methamphetamine and cocaine it causes no damage, the unpleasant sensation is merely short-lived irritation of the nasal membranes. Intranasal ingestion also produces rapid onset and anywhere up to three times the potency compared to oral ingestion. Nasal ingestion became more common when 2C-B became scarce due to its legal status.

I doubt Shulgin typically would have tried nasal ingestion, although it has been a while since I have read his book.

2C-B is also highly synergistic with cannabis, like LSD.

[edit] widespread use

 ...despite widespread use...

that seems kind of inaccurate, as 2C-B is one of the lesser known hallucinogens, and it isnt really distributed in the amounts that psilocybes or lsd is, it seems that most average psychonauts dont really know about 2C-B, i've never heard word of it being distributed/sold anywhere around here. --Neur0X 19:23, 29 June 2006 (UTC)

Ive had ecstasy many times that give a distinct feeling that its actually 2cb.

[edit] major cleanup

just did a major cleanup of the article, added some information such as the list of effects, anybody is free to correct any mistakes ive made.--Neur0X 03:28, 30 June 2006 (UTC)

I just took the following from under dosage: "By default, great care should be taken if one is recreationally experimenting with hallucinogens such as 2C-B or LSD. Notably, science has proven that many psychedelic drugs have some effect on the behavior of the mind, and such drugs may not interact well with users who have moderate-serious psychological disorders, such as schizophrenia or clinical depression." While good advice, this doesn't really belong under the dosage, although I could see it fitting there as taking care would imply begining with a low dose. However the point is mute anyway as wikipedia doesn't give advice. It's possible some of it could be cleaned up and put under a "Possible Dangers" section or something similar.
