I am sorry about this. I'm the network supervisor here and someone else must've been messing around with the articles. I'll find out who it by checking through our logs. I am amazed at your responsiveness, though. I've always love Wikipedia for its quick and helpful, friendly attitude.

Please stop adding nonsense to Wikipedia. It is considered vandalism. If you were just trying to experiment, then use the sandbox instead. Thank you.

I'm a student here and I also love Wikipedia because of it's helpful tools. It's gotten me through reports, presentations, and even just general knowledge I'd like to know about. And from the looks of our contributions, it looks like a lot of students use this as a great resource! --216.242.114.115 18:46, 26 September 2005 (UTC)

Please stop. If you continue to vandalize pages, as you did to Ice hockey, you will be blocked from editing Wikipedia. --Nlu (talk) 13:47, 7 February 2006 (UTC)

This is your last warning. The next time you vandalize a page, as you did to Stream of consciousness, you will be blocked from editing Wikipedia. --Nlu (talk) 13:47, 7 February 2006 (UTC)

You have been blocked from editing for vandalism of Wikipedia. The block is for a period of 24 hours. If you wish to make useful contributions, you are welcome to come back after the block expires. --Nlu (talk) 13:52, 7 February 2006 (UTC)

Editing Blockage

This is the public IP address of a private school located in southern Florida. Many students subsequently use the IP address as every student has a laptop on campus with full access to the internet. The actions of one student should not punish others from contributing helpful knowledge to the Wikipedia database. I petition that our IP address be removed from blockage and that our access be re-instated. Thank you. --216.242.114.115 13:59, 7 February 2006 (UTC) (A student here)

Will do. However, any further vandalism and the block will go right back in. Please talk to your network administrator about measures to control vandalism of Wikipedia. --Nlu (talk) 14:01, 7 February 2006 (UTC)
Thank you. I have also talked to my network administrator and we will try to control and reduce the amount of vandalism coming from the students here on campus. Please disregard the e-mail I sent you; however, I still want to ask you one question: is my user account (LoganK) still blocked? I think it's unfair that our IP address was blocked, but I think it even more unfair that my username was blocked as well. --LoganK 14:07, 7 February 2006 (UTC)
I would not think so. It's not that your user name is blocked; it's that the edits coming from the IP would be blocked, regardless of user. If there's a problem, send me another e-mail. --Nlu (talk) 14:13, 7 February 2006 (UTC)
Thanks for the amiable attitude you've displayed toward me. It's unfortunate that any edits regardless of the username from that IP address are blocked; in the future, do you know of any way I can continue to edit/discuss on Wikipedia in case our IP is blocked again? In any case, I will keep you in mind as a contact in case problems develop ever again. Again, thank you for your kind presence of being when dealing with this issue. --LoganK 14:19, 7 February 2006 (UTC)

It would seem that we've been blocked again; this is unfortunate as this is a school's IP address and the blocking of the entire address inhibits others from possible-beneficial contributions. Not everyone at the school is looking to vandalize Wikipedia - some of us are even prominent members in the community, helping to combat the exact same vandalism that has now prevented us from doing that. I myself am a member of the CVU; I immediately noticed a piece of vandalism on the article about the Internet protocol suite and went to correct it, only to find out my editing priveleges have been blocked.

I saw recently (via a link from digg) a story on how Wikipedia blocked a school from editing access. I don't know what effect that school and/or story had on the Wikipedia community, but they should understand that students will be students and that the malignant actions of a select few should not penalize the benign-intentioned ones. I reccomend that our access be restored and that Wikipedia administrators realize in the future that this is the shared IP address of a school and thus stronger evidence and/or need should exist in order for us to be blocked. --216.242.114.115 14:28, 31 March 2006 (UTC)

You have been temporarily blocked from editing for vandalism of Wikipedia. Please note that page blanking, addition of random text or spam, deliberate misinformation, privacy violations, and repeated and blatant violation of WP:NPOV are considered vandalism. If you wish to make useful contributions, you may come back after the block expires. -- GraemeL (talk) 13:46, 12 April 2006 (UTC)

I sent you an e-mail on Thursday of last week yet you have not responded. How long is this block in effect for? 24 hours is more than enough for K-12 school in South Florida. Like I said in the e-mail, in case you did not receive it for any reason, the actions of one rogue student should not penalize the ability of others to contribute helpful additions to the Wikipedia community. I cannot even edit pages under my username (LoganK) now even though my username has an extremely good history of no vandalism and only helpful contributions. I strongly adivse you to think about unblocking us or at least shortening the amount of time we're blocked for. --216.242.114.115 13:56, 17 April 2006 (UTC)

Welcome to Wikipedia. We invite everyone to contribute constructively to our encyclopedia. Take a look at the welcome page if you would like to learn more about contributing. However, unconstructive edits, such as those you made to Sandra Cisneros, are considered vandalism. If you continue in this manner you may be blocked from editing without further warning. Please stop, and consider improving rather than damaging the hard work of others. Thanks. - RoyBoy 800 17:53, 3 October 2006 (UTC)
