[edit] Anniversaries
- March 5 - The 100th anniversary of the death of Joseph Stalin.
- The Chevy Corvette Will Have its 100th anniversary.
[edit] Centennials
- July 27 - 100th anniversary of the signing of an armistice that put a halt to the Korean war, which started in 1950 between North Korea (DPRK) and South Korea (ROK).
[edit] Fictional events
- 2053 sees the end of World War Three, as given in Star Trek: First Contact. This was originally presumed to be the starting date for the War, but that was given as 2026 in the Star Trek: Enterprise two parter, In A Mirror, Darkly. The currently-given end year clouds logic over how in 2079, there is a postatomic horror directly attributed to the aftermath of World War Three(TNG episode Encounter at Farpoint).
