Željko Joksimović

Željko Joksimović (Serbian: Жељко Јоксимовић) (born 20 April 1972 in Beograd, Yugoslavia, now Serbia) is one of the most popular singers of Serbia, but is also well-known in Croatia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, and nearby countries. He represented Serbia & Montenegro in the 2004 Eurovision Song Contest with the song Lane moje, which finished second behind Ukrainian singer Ruslana.
In 2005, he once again composed a song for the national pre-selection for Eurovision, but Jutro (Morning) was performed by Jelena Tomasević. The song seemed well-placed to progress to the contest in Kyiv after it emerged as the highest-scoring qualifier from the Serbian pre-selection, but ultimately missed out in controversial fashion at the overall Serbia and Montenegro final, when all four Montenegrin jurors overlooked it in distributing their points. No Name, a qualifier from Montenegro's pre-selection, instead represented Serbia & Montenegro in Eurovision 2005.
In October he made a duet with Austrian singer Tamee Harrison. The song was titled "I live my life for you" and was a big success.
In 2006, he composed the 2006 Eurovision Song Contest song 'Lejla' for Bosnia and Herzegovina, performed by Hari Mata Hari.

Željko Joksimović is the singer representing Serbia & Montenegro at Eurovision Song Contest 2004 and was born on 20 April 1972 in Belgrade.
He will sing Lane Moje (My Precious One) -- a song he wrote and arranged himself.
Music has always been part of Željko’s life. His first international success came at the age of 12, when he won the title of First Accordion of Europe in Paris. Today, Željko is one of few musicians who can say they can play eleven musical instruments.
His first album –- which he also wrote -- was released in 2000. It was a great success in the former Yugoslavia. Since then, Joksimovic has become one of the region’s most popular and successful singers.
His music has won a raft of awards at festivals in Serbia & Montenegro as well as winning two international awards at Belarus’ Mogovily Grand Prix and the Grand Prix at Vitebsk, Belarus. He has also won awards for the music he has written for various theatre productions.
Joksimovic is signed to BMG Poland and parent company, City Records. Both regard the 32-year-old as one of the company’s biggest hit makers.
Lane Moje is an original blend of pop music and traditional sounds from the region from which its author hails. Archaic, almost forgotten musical instruments are set with gentle love verses to create a strong and emotional musical experience.

His new album called 'Ima nesto u tom sto me neces' or just 'IV' has been a great succes all over ex-Yugoslavia. The CD was released in over 300 000 copies. The first song called 'Ima nesto u tom sto me neces' was released as a videoclip. In May, another song of the album called 'Crnokosa' was made as a mini-film starring Zeljko Joksimovic and his brother Sasa Joksimovic. In this year Zeljko Joksimovic has planned another duet with the famous Swedish singer Carola.
