In Norse mythology, Þjazi (anglicized as Thjazi or Thiazi) was a giant who kidnapped the goddess Iðunn. Without her apples, the Æsir began to grow very old. Loki intervened by changing her into a nut and rescuing her. Thiazi chased after him and was killed by the Æsir. In Jötunheimr he lived in Þrymheimr. He had a daughter named Skaði who sought compensation from the gods for the killing of her father. This story is related in the Prose Edda and Haustlöng.
