[edit] A bit about my interests

I enjoy programming in the Yabasic scripting language. I'm a frequent poster on the Yabasic Forum and Wiki.

I enjoy playing text adventure games, such as Adventure, and the occasional TBS and RTS such as Freeciv and Lincity. When I'm not on the computer I enjoy playing Chess and Mancala.

At the moment I am trying to learn Perl. I use Vim as my text editor and would recommend Dillo to anyone running Linux and wanting a small, fast web browser.

Oh, and by the way: I have a doppelganger account on Wikipedia to prevent impersonation. It is Yuser, which redirects here, and I do not intend to ever use it.

[edit] My wikiphilosophy

Everything has a purpose, and sometimes that purpose is to test your ability. Deal with it the best you can.

I hold some policies in very high regard and I believe they are the cornerstones of our community. Without them Wikipedia could not work in the way it does. My top five policies are:

• Wikipedia:Neutral point of view - Wikipedia is a worldwide project, and will remain so. We are fortunate to live in a world of diversity, but this also means we must be careful to always take a neutral stance.
• Wikipedia:Verifiability - Wikipedia exists only because it is an encyclopedia of verifiable and already written or researched facts. Without this, Wikipedia would collapse due to misinformation.
• Wikipedia:Please do not bite the newcomers - Our newcomers are our future, so please don't bite them. Consider helping them instead.
• Wikipedia:No personal attacks - We should consider ourselves as a team, working together to create the encyclopedia of all time. Comment on content, not on the contributors.
• Wikipedia:Ignore all rules - The policy that conveniently lets one ignore all policies but the above four if that is required to improve our encyclopedia.
