A brief introduction
Born in California, USA, in 1986. Currently registered as a full-time student at Diablo Valley College, and working part-time as a senior retail associate. Dreams of someday living in a van down by the river, editing Wikipedia and eating a steady diet of government cheese.
And you know something? They're right -- you spot one glaring mistake, make a quick edit to fix it, and you're hooked. I started off making some silly note on a Talk page, as an IP user, and who knows when I'll stop? As I'm writing this, I'd definitely consider myself a new user. Not sure how long that'll last, but I hope that I can make a few valuable contributions to this endeavor we've all joined in on.
This page will probably change over time; I like to think it'll grow alongside me, as I experience and soak in the wonder.
Interests on Wikipedia
Thus far, the massive bulk of my edits have been in the realm of anti-vandalism. The number of people who enjoy defacing our project is a damned shame, and I'm able and willing to put time into defending the community's productive efforts. My two other main activities would have to be helping people out, at our resident bootcamp, the help desk, on newpage patrol, responding to {{helpme}} requests, or even just on IRC, and a large if insufficient amount of welcomes for the Welcoming Committee. Wikipedia has a very steep learning curve, and again I've found an area to be bold and help out.
I have written a few articles; for the most part, by the time I think of adding something, it's usually already there. Now and then I see a need for new templates or policy changes, and I'll propose or create them as fits the situation. Beyond that, I've participated in a large number of AfD and CfD discussions. I'm not really an inclusionist, not really a deletionist. At CfD in particular, I tend to apply the criteria that "a good category name is objective, specific, consistent, and useful."
I'm a regular in a number of the Wikipedia IRC channels, by the name Luna-San, and I help out with WikiProject Stub removal, Esperanza (and the Barnstar Brigade), the relatively new WikiDiscussion Manager project, and the budding counter-vandalism club at the Simple English Wikipedia.
At some point I would like to write a featured article. Until that time, I'll content myself by making a dent in the wikify backlog, and by doing what I can to calm down disputes at 3O. Policy outlook and my attitudes toward adminship are still developing. I haven't quite found my niche, at this place, but a few months in, I can happily say that I'm comfortable here, and that I'm still looking for new ways to help the community and the project to move forward.
On some level beyond all of that, I'd just like to promote the WikiLove. I strive whenever possible to be an approachable person, emulating the good actions of those I look up to, avoiding the negative behaviors I see from others, and trying my best to be a good example for any other wonderful people, should they happen to look up to me in turn.
Heavens! Barnstars!

Please note: I've gotten an unusually large number of these, recently. While I sincerely appreciate it (very much!), I'd also like to wait awhile before getting any more. If I've done something you appreciate, you are of course still welcome to post something saying so to my talk page; but please, no more stars for awhile. Thanks for your understanding. Consider giving a barnstar to someone else who deserves it more -- there are thousands of helpful editors out there! |

Favoritisms
Not that I'm egotistical to assume everyone will magically care what my preferences are, I'm just not at all good at writing pages which allow others to get know me. The best window to my personality I can think of, is this. Listed alphabetically, since my particular favorites will vary from time to time, and even with mood.
