My name is Arian Kriesch, born in 1983 in the city of Erlangen which is situated in Bavaria in Germany. After having lived in Cologne for 10 years, I moved back to Middle Franconia and got my final secondary-school examinations, Abitur in 2002 at Fürth, the city of origin of Henry Kissinger, former Secretary of State for foreign affairs of the USA. Since then I have studied Physics at the Friedrich-Alexander-University, Erlangen-Nuremberg. From 2001 to 2002 I used the opportunity to study at the University of York, UK for two terms.
In my free time I am interested in politics. I am an active liberal democrat, thus member of the German liberal party FDP and their independent youth organisation, the Young Liberals (Germany), de:Junge Liberale. In 2004 I was elected the vice-chairman of the Young Liberals of Bavaria, after having been the chairman of the Young Liberals in my hometown Fürth and vice-chairman of the Young Liberals in Middle-Franconia. Consequently I am also delegate and vice-delegate to the party congresses of the FDP of Middle-Franconia, Bavaria and Germany.
Other areas of interest of mine ar music (playing clarinet and recorders, classical as well as Jazz), reading, cooking, cycling and sometines archery.
I will translate my reasons for using wikipedia and taking part in its developement as soon as possible. Until then you can read them in German at my German profile.
